Yesterday, Katrina was in my ACWW town... I've usually not bothered after her earlier predictions regarding future and compatibility were a load of old guff... but I noticed another service she provides which I'd not noticed before and I don't think has ever been mentioned on the show.  "Spiritual cleansing", I think that's what it was, costs 10,000 bells and she claims that "good things" will now happen to me.

Of course she then gave me her usual caveat of "or maybe not, sometimes things weren't meant to be" which I take to mean nothing will actually happen.

So!  Can anyone confirm, if I turn out to be right and I've just wasted 10,000 bells on something which may or may not happen, if they've had any startling runs of good luck following this service?  Or maybe received something amazing in the post?  Or does Tom Nook keel over dead after choking on his honey milk and you get his hoard of Nazi gold?

Well, nothing that good happens. I ran around and shook all of my trees and found some more rare items than usual, and more trees had stuff in them. The weather was good and none of my neighbors moved. I even tried fishing and caught more Red Snapper and other expensive fish.
Maybe more packages came, as I saw one. I don't think you wasted your money, it was proably a good investment! Follow up and let me know if Redd comes to your town and the painting you buy is real or he has rarer items.

Trouble is that stuff like visiting Katrina is what I tend to do last and by the time I'd blown the 10,000 bells, it was time to get back to work and I forgot to check later that day...  I haven't gone round shaking trees in ages, so next time she comes I'll give it a go.  I only have one more fossil to find, so maybe I'll leave off until after I've visited her.  This time was a bit of a waste.  Dang Redd ripped me off over a fake 'Lautrec the next day too.  And I've missed Lyle to get the compensation.  It is worth time-travelling for 100 bells?  

Nah, the bells aren't worth it. You won't have the bad consequences of time travelling forward, you are going backwards so you will be fine, but you could sell it to Nook for a few bells. I would mail it to a neighbor just for giggles!

The cleansing takes away good and bad luck.
